Cooper Announces Run For Iowa Governor

On Wednesday, November 11th Eric Cooper announced his intention to seek the Libertarian Party of Iowa’s nomination for Governor at a press conference in Ames, Iowa.

One of Cooper’s main objectives in this race is to obtain 2% of the vote which would give the Libertarian Party of Iowa official party status which would mean Libertarian candidates in Iowa would no longer be required to collect signatures to get on the ballot.

It is reported that coverage of the announcement included front page stories in both the Iowa State Daily and Ames Tribune as well as mention in the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
