Ames News Online is reporting that the Libertarian Party of Iowa Vice Chair, Eric Cooper, will run for Iowa Governor in the 2010 election.
Cooper, a professor at Iowa State University, has served on the Libertarian Party of Iowa Executive Committee for several years and has previously ran for State Representative five times.
Libertarian Strategy Monthly can confirm that Eric Cooper and another high ranking Libertarian Party of Iowa officer were considering a run for Iowa Governor and Lieutenant Governor on the Libertarian ticket and planning to run what can best be described as a very active campaign.
The Libertarian Party of Iowa will nominate their candidate for Governor and Lieutenant Governor at their state convention sometime early next year.
